Counseling & Comfort Zone
Dr. Frank Scott, Director, 615-860-3286, fscott@madisoncofc.org
The Counseling Center has provided high-quality, confidential counseling services since 1985. Services are available to the surrounding community as well as Madison members and are offered on a sliding-fee scale based on family income. However, no one will be denied counseling because they are unable to pay.
All of our counselors are committed Christians who have earned master’s or doctorate degrees in counseling, social work or psychology and are certified or licensed in Tennessee. Graduate-student interns work under the supervision of the professional staff and may be available to clients as part of their training.
We offer a broad range of services including: individual and group counseling for children, teens and adults; pre-marital, marriage and family counseling; play therapy; career assessment; and psychological testing. Daytime, evening and weekend appointments are available.
Comfort Zone
The Comfort Zone is a very important part of our counseling ministry, with the purpose of caring for children and their families who have lost a loved one through death or divorce. Located in a simple house on the outskirts of the church campus, this homelike environment is also used for family grief support groups and children’s classes on anger management and social skills.
Comfort Zone services are offered free to the Madison community. We welcome referrals from school counselors, area churches or other agencies that serve children.
